It has been reported that an eye witness has finally revealed what caused the boat accident that resulted to the death of Nollywood actor, John Paul Odonwodo also known as Junior Pope on Wed., April 10.
We had earlier reported that the actor lost his life after drowning while on a boat on his way back from the movie set.
According to the statement of the eye witness, the boat carrying Jnr Pope hit another boat carrying other passengers resulting in the collapse of both boats in the river .
According to the eyewitness, the altercation occurred because the rider of the boat, Junior Pope, did not see an approaching boat in time. Regretfully, no divers were there to assist with the victims' rescue. The witness further stated that several of the victims rested on a capsized boat while they waited for rescue, holding onto the rope of the vessel.
Thankfully, someone on another boat saw them and came to their aid in a timely manner. Three bodies, including Junior Pope's, have apparently been found so far; the bodies of the other victims are still being sought after. Check out the video below.
