Hakeem Muri Okunola has been appointed as the Principal Secretary to President Bola Tinubu, bringing over 25 years of experience in law and public service. He previously served as Personal Assistant to Tinubu during his governorship and as the Head of Civil Service in Lagos State. On the same day, Jamila Bio Ibrahim was nominated as Minister for Youth, and Ayodele Olawande as Minister of State for Youth.
Hakeem Muri Okunola holds a Law degree from Lagos State University and a Master's in International Business Law from the University of London. His career includes legal practice and various government roles, including streamlining land administration and improving efficiency. He served as the 21st Head of Service of Lagos State from December 2018.
Outside of his professional life, he's interested in sports, water activities, and enjoys a fulfilling family life.
