An Islamic cleric based in Ondo state, identified as Oluwafemi Idris, has reportedly been arrested by men of the Ondo State Police after been caught with various human body parts.
Acting on an intelligence tip received, the police force stormed the house of the said cleric and reportedly discovered human hands, three kidneys, three hearts, a spine, and a tongue.
Confirming the arrest to newsmen, the spokesman of the command, SP Funmilayo Odunlami-Omisanya, in her statement disclosed that Idris was arrested after the police force received intelligence tip that he had plans of using the body parts for ritual purposes.
The statement further revealed that Idris claimed that the human parts were giving to him by another Islamic cleric who is identified simply as Alhaji and one other person identified as Samuel Kutelu.
It said Idris, in turn, supplied one Babatunde Kayode with three human heads.
Odulami said Idris and Kayode had been arrested while efforts were on to arrest other fleeing clerics.
