You need to re-engage with dormant subscribers to maintain a good, healthy email list, and not leave any drop from the maximum ROI on your email marketing investment. You may even consider trying to qualify your inactive subscribers by setting some criteria; for example, lack of opens or clicks over a certain period of time. Segment these subscribers in order to make your re-engagement activities more effective.

Send an email series with targeted emails including a special offer, a survey to catch feedback, or just a reminder of the value of staying subscribed. Use engaging content and strong subject lines that are sure to capture your readers' interest and will force them to open and actively interact with the emails.

Try experimenting with different approaches and timings of emails to see what really works with your audience. If subscribers have not engaged after so many tries, remove them from your list to ensure deliverability and engagement numbers do not go down.
